PROMATIS implements Oracle Strategy
Software and Hardware from one Source
Ettlingen, August 25th, 2010 – BDW technologies in Soest will continue to use Oracle enterprise software, while the new parent company uses SAP. PROMATIS has convinced the customer of the E-Business Suite and also to make use of Sun hardware. So Oracle’s new strategy has already been put into action - Software Hardware Complete.
"We are certainly the first Oracle partner in Europe who is able to work in this new direction. We have long offered customer-oriented solution packages that include software and hardware components as appliances. In addition, there are other important services, such as the analysis of business processes," notes Dr. Frank Schönthaler, CEO of PROMATIS. What is true for Oracle, is implemented by PROMATIS - and more. Processes and customer requirements are meaningfully linked, for example, with the new business tool Horus®. All systems are optimally matched. And with Oracle Enterprise Linux the Sun Server receives just the right operating system.
Since there will only be one contact for everything, the entire communication effort for the establishment of the new IT architecture will be lower. In addition, the support for hardware and software will be bundled in one channel. All these advantages naturally lead to savings during the operation of the systems. Sascha Gründler, Senior Account Manager at PROMATIS concludes: "Everything from one source will bring the customer significant benefits. A complete package is put together for him, which includes not only software and hardware, but also services, and if necessary, even an individual leasing concept."
