PROMATIS supports the DOAG Data Analytics 2019 with an experience report: data analytics in an Oracle Applications multi-cloud!
Ettlingen, February 18, 2019 – One in four machines in German factories is now smart and networked, according to a representative survey of 553 industrial companies commissioned by the Bitkom e.V. digital association.
Although the robust, quality-assured data from traditional data warehouse and BI systems continues to provide reliable information, existing IT architectures and analysis processes are currently undergoing an impressive transformation. This raises urgent questions concerning the future – particularly the question of how to make the most of the increasing flood of data. Visitors of Data Analytics 2019 at Phantasialand Brühl on March 26 and 27 2019 are going to learn how the data explosion can be mastered with Big Data, Machine Learning or Autonomous Cloud Services. In the accompanying exhibition solution, sponsor PROMATIS – specialist for intelligent business processes and Oracle digitization solutions – presents concepts for a multifunctional data analysis, and presents in practical contributions how they successfully mastered their own exciting project challenges.
When it comes to making better business decisions based on business-critical data, data warehousing is still the defining data management concept for many companies. However, the increasing flood of data makes it technically demanding task to integrate heterogeneous data sources in a coordinated data pool. Companies must face the challenge of filtering and qualifying the raw material “valuable information” from the flood of data. The joint event of DOAG and Oracle according to the motto “mastering the data explosion” illustrates how confusing amounts of data can be transformed into valuable knowledge. More than 30 attractive, practice-oriented lectures in five streams (BI, Big Data, Information Management, Business & Innovation and Application Optimization), top-class keynotes and Oracle Knowledge Transfer Sessions will focus on innovative technologies and strategies. As an expert for digital transformation, PROMATIS also supports companies on their way into their digital future and provides bundled expert knowledge of successful business process solutions in the two-day long community and user conference:
Michael Weiler, Head of Data Analytics BU, reports in his talk with the title “Data Analytics in an Oracle Applications Multi-Cloud” about exciting challenges and solutions regarding the implementation of analytics components in his own company. As part of a strategic digitization program in the areas of Customer Experience (Oracle Fusion Sales Cloud, Oracle Marketing Cloud) and Enterprise Performance Management (Planning and Budgeting Cloud), PROMATIS has automated important business processes throughout the group with Oracle Cloud Applications. With Oracle NetSuite, the ERP area was also relocated to the Oracle Cloud. An important digitization goal was the continuous integration of business processes across all companies of the PROMATIS Group. Analytical components for Financial Performance Management (financial planning, budgeting, forecasting), Sales Performance Management (sales planning, pipeline, forecast) and Marketing Performance Management (measure and cost planning, target/actual comparisons) as well as a Balanced Scorecard were implemented on a high-quality and high-performance transaction platform. The Essbase-based Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service and the Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence components of the Oracle Cloud Applications modules were used.
Further program highlights are going to be PROMATIS Principal Consultant Evgeniy Galanzovsky’s lecture with the title “Hadoop & Revenue Planning: Using Big Data Potential” as well as a round table of PROMATIS experts on the topic “Interaction of Hadoop & Essbase – Best of Big Data Analysis in the Financial Industry”.
